Stephanie's New Year's Cards
My family celebrate New Years by having a huge party and getting lots and lots of seafood like shrimp, crabs, rockfish, and clams. My mom makes cream of crab soup which is delicious. We don't get presents usually but sometimes my uncle will send a few dollars for me and my brother. All of our guests usually stay until 12:00 or later to watch the ball drop. When it does, some people throw up confetti. Not everyone does but some people do. At my old house at 12:00 a lot of the kids would stand on their porch and scream. Some people did not like this at all because they're sleeping. Others do not mind though.
