First Sighting of the White Man

::This is a journal entry of how I think the first Indians felt when they saw a white person for the first time::

It was a normal morning. I awoke to the sound of birds in my ears and the sun's rays emenating down on my eyes. I was now two days away from my village, on a hunting trip. So far I had not killed any game. After I packed up camp, and made sure I erased all signs of my being there I moved on.

I walked until the sun was directly overhead. I stopped, ate some meat, and drank some water. The water felt smooth as it ran down my throat. Refreshed I moved on. After a few hours of walking I came to a natural depression in the earth. Right in the corner was a strange looking wooden structure. I had never seen one of these before. I decided to hide and watch the structure and see what it would do. As I watched, the front part of the building opened up and the most beautiful thing appeared. It was a white skinned female. It had blonde hair and blue eyes. I have never seen one of these before. Shocked and frightened about what I just saw I turned my back and ran all the way back to my village. I told them all about the pale face women. From that day forth the Legend of the Pale Face was handed down from generation to generation.
