Making a Time Line

Rosa Parks, called the "Mother of the Modern-Day Civil Rights Movement," died on October 24, 2005. Mrs. Weeg's computer lab students in grades 2, 3 and 4 watched two short video clips about Rosa Parks from the UnitedStreaming website - www.unitedstreaming.com. Students also visited websites about Rosa Parks.
  1. Rosa Parks
  2. Goodbye to a Civil Rights Leader - Rosa Parks
  3. Meet Rosa Parks
  4. "How I Fought For Civil Rights"
  5. Rosa Parks
  6. Civil Rights Leader Dies
  7. Rosa Parks
  8. Rosa Parks Heroes and Icons
  9. Freedom Hero - Rosa Parks
  10. Rosa Parks - EnchantedLearning
After a discussion about this courageous lady the 4th grade students made a timeline of important events in her life using Timeliner 5. Dustin's completed time line is shown above. Below you can see students creating their time lines on the computer and also taping the printed time line pages together.
